It's Official
Mark has accepted a position with a wonderful group of OB/GYNs on the Westbank of New Orleans. He is so excited to be embarking on this new stage of his career. I couldn't be prouder of him. He has worked so hard, and he loves what he does. I have never known anyone who loves what they do more than him, and I am so happy he has been given an opportunity to do it with a group of people he respects and admires.
Moving home is starting to feel more and more real everyday. It's kind of weird actually. For as long as I can remember, we have been living our lives in four year blocks - high school, college, medical school, Mark's residency, the Naval commitment. Every stage has had a finality to it even from the very beginning. And now we will be entering the future without limits or boudaries. It's a bit scary, but very exciting as well.
For now, while moving leaves us with so many details to iron over, our focus is on how we spend our time left in Beaufort. There is no time more important than the present, and we know how quickly it will become the past. So we're taking it all in!
Congratulations to you both!
