Who me? Well, thank you!!

This morning I opened my inbox to find an email from Tracey over at Tales of Baby Jack Reese and discovered she had included me in her list of new blogs she liked and handed off The Versatile Blogger award.  Well, I just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to a fabulous lady!!!

The rules for the first award ask that you list seven things about yourself!  These are a little random, but they are the things that come to mind this morning...
  1. I can name the entire starting lineup for your World Champion New Orleans Saints 2009-2010 roster by position and by jersey numbers.  I remind myself of that when I can't recall what I had for breakfast and I think I've lost my mind.

2.  Growing up I didn't like cake, so for my birthday party we would always have homemade pies and ice cream.  My favorites were pumkin and lemon ice box pie.

3. There are people who love Mardi Gras, and people who hate Mardi Gras.  I am the prior and always have been, as is my dad.  When I was little we had tickets to stands at one of the downtown hotels, and my dad and I would get there at 6:00 am so I could get a spot in the front row.  I wouldn't move all day just so I could stay up front and catch every bead that came my way. What wonderful memories!

4. I have all the tendencies of someone who would be ridiculously neat, but I'm not and I wish I was.  The only thing that I am completely persisent about keeping the way I want it is the hanging clothes in my closet.  Every hanger must be placed so that the hook faces in and that the garmet faces forward.  Also, the clothes are hung by color and category.  Think ROYGBV, and the order is - jackets, shirts/blouses, pants, skirts, dresses.  Whew.

5. When we were little and played Barbies, my Barbies were always named either Tiffany or Stacey.  I loved Saved by the Bell and wanted to be just like Tiffany Amber Theissen.

6.  If I were a famous pop star, the only deman I would make would be that I got to have a bejeweled microphone.  Doesn't everything look prettier when it sparkles!

7.  While I loved Sex and the City, and while I thought The Sopranos was great, I firmly believe that The Wire should go down as the single greatest accomplishment in television history.  If you have not seen it and have the opportunity, it is life changing.  David Simon is a GENIOUS!

Now I get to pass this along to some bloggers that I have recently discovered:

Sweet Southern Prep
Gonna Want Seconds
Ballet Shoes and Baby Blues
A Bride in Boots
Life in Dawleywood
Miss Monogram

And for a gentleman's perpective - Southern Gent

Have a wonderful Friday, and don't forget to click HERE!!!!!!!!!  to find out what you can do to help the victims of the massive flooding in Nashville!!!
