Krewe of Muses - The Complete 2012 Shoe Collection

Hi bloggers!

I'm sorry I haven't been around lately.  When we got home from NYC (I'll update that in another post), I went straight into Martha Stewart mode.  I have been crafting pink poms and flag banners for Jane's Baptism reception Sunday.  Every other spare opportunity I have had has been spent at the dining room table surrounded by glitter, glue, and sequins!  That can mean only one thing - MUSES is here!!

If you've read my blog during Mardi Gras seasons past, you know that I am a member of the all female Mardi Gras Krewe (read about Mardi Gras lingo HERE), Muses.  We will be taking to the streets of Uptown New Orleans one week from tonight with 26 floats and 980 riders!!  Can you believe that?!  We grow by leaps and bounds each year.

While this year's parade theme is a secret until we ride, I can share with you my 2012 shoe collection.  Each year, we decorate ladies shoes and carefully hand them to a few very lucky revelers.  I hope these creations land in the hands of some very happy Muses fans!

Without giving too much away...  this Tiffany and Co. show was inspired by this year's theme...

I love a show with a bow on the backside

Lots of flowers!

Ahhhh...  Tiffany blue!

Whew!  I am creatively exhausted...  but I could not be more excited about this year's parade.  The theme is fabulous, the floats are bigger than ever, the throws are adorable, and Jane will get to see it all!  I can't wait.

If you plan to be in the crowd next Thursday night, I will be riding in the title float (#3), neutral ground side, bottom level, second to last rider in the well.  Give me a shout!!

Happy Mardi Gras!!

  5. I know, I'm a blog bum who only comments on your Muses posts. I can't help myself though; Carnival is my favorite time of year. My crazy brain wheels are spinning now trying to figure out this year's theme now that I know it has something to do with Tiffany blue. LOVE :)

We'll be in Lee Circle again this year with a sign just for you. See ya on the route.
