Wild Week Ahead: The Big Apple to the Big Easy

Happy Hump Day everyone!  I hope your week has been going well so far.  I am gearing up for one wild week.  I will be flying to NYC on Friday for Labor Day weekend.  That is if this guy doesn't get in the way...

I am hoping that Earl stays further east than projected so that the coast of NC can breathe a little easier.  This one looks like the real deal...

Should Earl decide not to join me on my getaway to the Big Apple, this is what my sister in law and I have planned.
Browsing for furniture at ABC Home
Lunch at ABC Kitchen
Hitting up Room and Board so I can stare dreamily at the Reese floor room
Dinner at Locanda Verde with our friends Kat and Marie!!
Sunday, the world is our oyster!!!  We are going to be spontaneous and let the city lead the way!

After I get back to Beaufort from NYC, I'll head back to work, and before you know it we'll be driving to New Orleans for the NFL season opener!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We leave Wednesday evening, and I cannot wait!  I will do a whole post on just how excited I am to be in the Dome when the Superbowl Champions banner drops from its rafters.  WHO DAT!!!!!!

Tomorrow will be Pink and Green Thursday, and on Friday I have a special guest post for my sweet friend at Pink Champagne who just got hitched!  Stay tuned...

PS - Do you have any suggestions on what Alissa and I should do with our Sunday in Manhattan??

  4. Hmmmmm Sunday in Manhattan?

If the weather is nice, I highly recommend going to Dean & Deluca in Soho or a market and then taking the subway to Central Park and sitting on a grassy knoll and having a picnic lunch.

After you finish up there, walk over to Dylan's Candy Bar for some fun and candy or dessert and the maybe walk up to MoMa or Natural History Museum for a little tour at one of those?

Or you could go to mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral and head down to Little Italy for some lunch.

Or you could have brunch and then follow that with some shopping...

it really depends on what you want to do! :)

  5. Can I just say how envious I am that you get to spend the weekend w/ A & B! They are such fabulous hosts. I had such a great time when I visited A last April. I think my fave part of that trip was honestly grabbing Starbucks and walking about the UES. Have a blast - can't wait to read all about it!

  9. You could always do the whole TKTS line and go see a show! There are some great deals to be had there. Or just take a walk in Central Park and see where the day leads....

  15. Yayee for NYC...It is supposed to be yucky on Friday but BEAUTIFUL on Sat and Sun.

I would head down to South Street where Summer B lives. So cute and the best wine bar (ask Summ) where it is exactly.

I would head down to Bleeker street. Great shopping and you can get yourself a Magnolia cupcake!

When you are in ABC home and Carpet there is Pipa attached. Yummy tapas and sangaria!!! and it is decorated with the chandeliers from ABC...
