Mark and I had the best time at the Corpsman's Ball. I always love seeing everyone in their dress uniforms. This picture of Mark and me will be going in a frame on my desk soon!
The night was filled with some very motivational and inspirational speeches.
And you can't celebrate a birthday without a cake! The tradition at the ball is for the youngest and oldest service man or woman to cut the cake together. The oldest wouldn't confess, but the youngest announced that he will turn 19 in July. When you realize just how young these brave sailors are, their sacrifices seem that much more impressive.
It would not be a Navy party without a whole lot of dancing.
I think I'm putting a ring on it here...
Oh, if only I had a mirror when I danced maybe I wouldn't many so many silly faces...
Not sure, but this might have been the electric slide
It took a little coaxing, but Mark finally joined me on the dance floor!
The Navy has brought us many things, but we count good friends as our favorite among them.
Love your dress!
ReplyDeleteYou both look ridiculously gorgeous and handsome, respectively. Love your dress. Do you happen to know the name of the Marine gentleman behind you in the "Ring On It" dance...oh nevermind! I see he has a ring on it!!! Bahahaha....big BIG thank you for their sacrifices.

He concurred :)
