We were graciously invited to join a few friends at Edisto Beach this weekend! I cannot wait for a relaxing weekend filled with beach activities. We're going to grill out on Friday and stroll along the beach on Saturday morning. And, of course, we'll soak up some rays on the shore. I was mentally packing last night, and I realized how dull my bathing suit collection is. This got me to thinking about my vision for the perfect little beach weekend ensemble...
I have never been one for two pieces because I am as square at the shoulder as I am at the waist. They do nothing for my figure! But, this little number would. I love the color, and the rouching at the waist would hide the fact that I spent the 4th of July munching on Monkey Bread.
I thought this cover up was chic and a bit whimsical! It's easy, flowy fabric feels beachy to me.
I like wearing wedges to the beach. I know it's completely impractical, but I think they lengthen my legs, and they make me feel glamorous! This pair is a bit of a splurge, but I just love their details!
I have mentioned before how much I love hats, and the beach is the perfect opportunity to wear one. This one is adorable!
A good beach tote is a must! In here you will find my sunscreen, my Ipod, a good beach read, and the latest In Style magazine.
I thought these oversized shades were too good a deal not to mention! They are about as exaggerated as the hat, so I think they make a great pair, and at only $28, why not get them?!

Ohhh I love that bathing suit! VERY VERY cute!! I always find one pieces that are soooo cute and I always look like crap in them. :/ I also adore that hat!!! I saw one very similar in Talbots the other day!

ReplyDeleteI love vintage-style bathing suits! I have a orange bikini with white polka dots that has the same style top as this one piece. Classic and elegant, even in swimwear...good call!
