A few years ago, I started getting cramps in my feet every few days. I figured it was a result of wearing ridiculously high pumps to work. I was willing to suffer for fashion until I found that the cramps were waking me up in the middle of the night. While I wasn't ready to give up on the addition four inches of height that my heels provided, I did decide to wear a pair of flats every so often. The good news is that designers are creating flats with so much character and charm that they really can add something sweet to an outfit. And as a girl who took ballet for most of her life, I have to say that there's something special about throwing on a pair of ballet flats that takes me back to my dancing days.
Here are a few pairs that I am loving...
I love the blush tone and the sweet little diamond bows!
I love this two-toned pair. They feel very Chanel without the hefty price tag!
I love ankle straps on any shoes, but on ballet flats, I find them pure perfection.
Again, I am drawn to the ankle strap flat.
The color combo of apple green and navy is just adorable. These would add the perfect pop of color to jeans and a white tee.
This pair covers two trends in one - ballet flats and animal prints!
This would be my big splurge pair. I love the belt details. The handbag that matches these is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Jane will love all of these when she gets to be a big girl, but for now, she seems pretty happy in her ballet flat tights!
They have some cute flats on sale at BR (or they did) - I really like the Ashley pair but not sure those were on sale!
ReplyDeleteThe shoes are great! But baby love stole my heart!!!!
ReplyDeleteI own the me too two-toned flats. they are SO comfortable! they have incredible cushions and arch supports- I could walk in them all day. I think I'm going to have to buy at least one back-up pair for when the current ones give out. Highly recommend them!
ReplyDeleteCan't live without my Revas. You don't want to know how many I own. But hey, if you've found a good thing, right?
ReplyDeleteI was once a daily wearer of 4" heels ... Thank Gawd flats are cute these days, because my feet couldn't take much more!
ReplyDeleteLove that baby!
The Burberry ones are too cute and I love the stripes on the Kate Spade's. I wear flats for my walk/commute and switch to heels for the office!
ReplyDeleteI have a pair of Revas that I love for weekends! But the Madden & Kate Spade flats are cute too. Wish I could get away with wearing ballet flats for work every now & then.
ReplyDeleteFirst let me say Jane is so so very adorable!!! Second thank you for posting the second pair as I have been searching for something just like it!
ReplyDeleteI have it bookmarked for my wishlist now :)
I am so happy you brought back Trendy Wednesday!! Will you please do it again on a regular basis?
ReplyDeleteI love the Steven Madden and of course the Kate's!
PS: I got a pair for Christmas the Coach sliver sparkle flats that are being sold at Nordstrom. They were a splurge but oh my gosh I can't even feel the ground when I walk in them they are that comfy!
i haven't been around here in a while (so sorry about that!), and i didn't know you already welcomed your baby girl, congratulations! she's such a happy and pretty baby! :D
