I think I mentioned that I can tell where my mind was this week just by looking at what I have pinned. My boards seem to say that I have been obsessing over Jane's six month photo shoot and her first birthday - two things that are months away. I have a very hard time "living in the moment," and after seeing how fast Jane is changing and growing, I'm trying to get better at this. I worry that I'm so busy thinking about what comes next that I'm missing what is happening right now.
Anyway, I've put together a little snippet of my favorite thing I found pinteresting this week...
I love this picture! I wasn't sure if we'd do the nakey noodle (as we call Jane's birthday suit) for her six month photos, but this picture just cracks me up!
Since Jane's birthday in November 21st, I thought it might be cute to do a fall/harvest party. I thought we could turn the backyard into a pumpkin patch. And I loved this idea - a make your own candy apple station!!! How stinkin cute is that (for the adults, of course).
I saw this one year old birthday party invitation and thought it was too funny not to share. Everyone tells me that the first birthday party is really about and for the parents - so why not a happy hour. While I do give the parents who hosted this party credit for being real about it, I know I will be the mother who throws an outrageously lavish (not like Taylor Armstrong lavish, but with lots of decor and a dessert table and all) kid-friendly birthday party.
If I would host a happy hour party, you better believe I'd get my party planning inspiration from this champagne cocktail guide. It lists the 50 best champagne cocktails!
One of my co-workers is hosting a post-March 15th deadline happy hour at his house this evening. I made some yummy snacks, but the one I think will be the biggest hit - chocolate chip cookie dough dip! Seriously, can you think of something more delicious?!
I know I usually post five pins, but I had to share this fabulous closet. The light fixtures, the pops of pink carpet, the settee... Swoon!!!
Hope you have a fabulous Friday!
I love that baby photo and I think the pumpkin patch birthday party sounds like a fabulous idea.
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any better, my little guy is about to make 7 months and I've already chosen the theme for his 1st birthday and starting buying stuff for it here & there in preparation. ;)
ReplyDeleteand I have pinned that picture too. I haven't done it with Andrew in his little naked self, (in fact, I've taken few naked pics of him, other than his newborn shots) but that one is TOO CUTE! :)
Have a great weekend!
The first picture is to cute. You could put her in a diaper with a cute monogrammed cover instead of in the nude.
