UPDATE!!!! - If you are watching the Saints Superbowl parade on ESPNews or the NFL Network tonight, look for the Muses shoe float!!  Kicker Garret Hartley will be riding in our signature float!!!!
Hi bloggers!!!  The Krewe of Muses parade is only two days away!  Are you getting excited?  I happen to love when bloggers do giveaways, but I have just never really had anything I thought would be interesting to give away.  As I was taking one last look through my 2010 bead order form, I thought what if I could bring Mardi Gras, and specifically the Krewe of Muses, to you.  For one lucky winner, you will receive an assortment of Muses finest throws including our theme bead shoes, a high heel shoe bracelet, a matching high heel shoe necklace, a light up bottle opener bead, our 2010 theme bead (which is a strobe light-up bead this year), a pair of classic glass beads, and a Muses light-up diamond ring. Click here to see example of these fancy treasures... And what Muses package would be complete without a fabulous glittered shoe!!!!!  You'll get one of those too!!!  And for a little Lagniappe, I'll also add in a box of Mam Papaul's King Cake mix.  You'll be all set to throw your own parade after your package arrives!!!

  1. Best meals lately has been Stella! and Le Foret... But I still miss the old Jackson. Every meal there was magic.

  2. My favorite nice meal was at Bon Ton Cafe on Magazine or Galatoire's - hard to say. My favorite casual meal is Slice Pizza. My favorite traditional New Orleans meal is the Shrimp Po'boy at Parasol's! All this talk about food makes me hungry! Can't wait to get there to eat!

  3. I would love to win this! My favorite meal is usually anything I get at Jacques-Imos how I am craving their mini cornmuffins right now Or a muffuletta from Central Grocery Yum!

  4. WoW! I so wish I was home for Mardi Gras and to enjoy a meal of crawfish etouffee or smothered chicken with mashed potatoes at Madina's. I feel the pounds being added as I type this:). Not to mention a stop for dessert at Brocato's...have mercy! Enjoy your time at home and take care!

  5. 0.25 martinis at Commanders. Fine way to start the day!

  6. I love giveaways!! I'm a follower already, my favorite meal is your Roast Beef Po'Boys! YUM! :)

  7. Fun giveaway! I am already a faithful follower! :)

I have never been to New Orleans - I don't even know what I woudl try - maybe some gumbo? Or crawfish? Not sure! If I could have bread, I would def say a Po'Boy!

  8. As a native New Orleanian, I'm going to go out on a limb by saying...I really really enjoy a nice dinner at Vincent's on St. Charles...I know, I know Italian food, but who could resist the warm corn & crabmeat Bisque, the blue-cheese salad, and their house specialty Canneloni??? and throw in a bottle of wine, the bread sticks and butter...can I tell ya...Heaven...
On a totally different note...when I saw the kickers on the Muses pink signature float, I could not stop cracking up...hahhahhahahha!

  9. One of my favorite meals are the Fajita's at Country Flame, Central Grocery, and of course brunch at Bennan's. Born and raised in Louisiana, I'm now a military wife, but take advantage of every chance to get back to NOLA. Sorry about the rain, but it happens to help us. We'll get to see the Muses parade tomorrow night!

  10. I've lived in NOLA my entire life and can't narrow down what my favorite meal is ... but I've been on a NOLA Grocery kick lately. They have THE BEST poboys I have ever tasted. Seriously.

P.S. We got such a kick out of the fact that the Saints kickers were in the show float. How funny and perfect at the same time :) What side of the float were you on? I was watching the parade in Lee Circle, on the neutral ground side holding a sign that said "screw the coconuts, carnival is for SHOES." Love Muses!!

  11. I'll have to return after October to post my favorite NOLA restaurant food.....for now it is for sure the gumbo and po'boys that we ate while watching the SAINTS win the SUPER BOWL!! And in years past it's been your awesome King Cake. ;)

  12. Ooh! A giveaway! :) I'd love to try some bananas foster, king cake sounds fabulous too!
