Shoe Dat

I spent the weekend making a few more Muses shoes!  First, a bit of info...  Each year the Krewe has a signature shoe bead, and each year I make glittered shoes that mimic this bead that I wear to the luncheon and pre-party.  Here is a peak at this year's shoe...  Still too early to reveal our secret theme and this year's bead, but that's just a little look!

Also, with Saints fever officially infecting all of of New Orleans, I thought it would be a smart plan to make extra black and gold shoes this year.  And in Muses style, I have subbed "Shoe Dat" for "Who Dat."  It's officially Super week, and I couldn't help but think about our boys as they landed in Miami today for the start of this oh so special week before the biggest game in franchise history!  Geaux Saints and Shoe Dat!

  2. Those are awesome!!!

And can you explain the origin of 'who dat'? I know that is a popular phrase, but I have no idea who started it or anything?

  3. Great question, Lisa. There is a really informative post on wikipedia all about it.

Interesting, right. Especially the part about the greedy NFL trying to say they own the phrase Who Dat.

My son-in-law changed his middle name to WHO DAT. I'm guessing this is a craze that many others have done!

  6. Loving your shoes! What do you do, make them from scratch or jazz up some from the closet? I want to play! Although, doing that in SC may get a few backward glances. :) Super cute.

  7. Please make sure you give me some credit for this. I have been making shoe dat shirts since November. I first debuted them at the Muses Holiday Bazaar this year. www.inexplicableconfetti.etsy.com
